Kamli is set to make its UK television debut on Channel 4 on September 10 at 1:45 AM.
The news was announced by Khoosat on Facebook. “Very happy and truly humbled to announce that Kamli will have its UK television premiere and OTT release on the prestigious Channel 4 this September.”
The psychological drama, set in a rural village in Pakistan, follows the intertwined lives of three women. The film will also be available to stream on Channel 4’s website after its broadcast.
The film introduces Hina (Saba Qamar), a young woman eagerly awaiting her husband’s return from abroad after eight years. As her hopes for a new relationship grow, she meets Amaltas (Hamza Khawaja), a wandering spirit with whom she falls deeply in love.
The narrative also explores Zeenat (Nimra Bucha), an artist struggling with a deteriorating marriage and alcoholism. Khoosat’s direction skillfully blurs the boundaries between reality and illusion, crafting a uniquely evocative cinematic experience.
