Following in the footsteps of the Pakistani leadership, the citizens seem more inclined to taking a measured and mature position on the hostile responses from it’s neighbour.
Soon after Pakistan announced successful airstrikes across the Line of Control and the subsequent capture of two Indian pilots, prominent Pakistanis took to Twitter to call for the captured pilots to be treated with dignity and respect.
Our soldier who went in to stop the locals beating the captured pilot is to be commended – he has upheld the highest of values in times during & difficult aftermath of battle.

Even when the wing commander is being transferred to a military vehicle, soldiers are physically standing between him and the crowd of local Kashmiris with one pushing them back with all his force. Reassuring to see sanity was not abandoned. 2/2

The captured Indian pilots should be given the respect that a serving officer deserves. We are a nation that honors the brave. #PakistanArmyZindabad
