Denyse, an avid Wordle user used to share her score in the WhatsApp group, but as USA Today quoted, “Her family was alerted that something was wrong after she did not read the text messages or share her score on word game app Wordle.” Details of the alleged hostage situation were also shared in the report, “Denyse woke up in her home and saw a naked man holding scissors.”
Details: The naked man reportedly threatened Denyse to cut her throat if she screamed and as Washington Postquoted the incident, “He later locked her in a bathroom in the basement. Whereas, Denyse was cold, hungry, and in pain, and she was not given her medicines.” Later, Denyse’s family alerted the local police, who raided the house and arrested the suspect declaring him a “mental health patient.”
More: In an interview with CBS News, Denyse said, “I did not send my daughter a Wordle in the morning. And that was disconcerting to her.” On the other hand, the home invader now faces a home invasion charge, aggravated assault, and aggravated kidnapping while armed with a dangerous weapon charge, according to the local police.
