What happened: Shaukat Mukadam spoke to the media alongside PM’s Special Assistant, Shahbaz Gill. Mr. Shaukat has highlighted crucial details regarding his daughter’s brutal murder while demanding definitive justice from the law as a bereaved father and a Pakistani who has served his country well. The points he highlighted The “I” in PTI stands for “insaaf”: Mr. Shaukat has said that he, his famiy, and the whole of Pakistan is confidently waiting for justice to be done in his daughter’s brutal murder by Zahir Jaffer. The PTI government must ensure that insaaf is given to his family. The murderer was caught red-handed: Noor’s father points out that the murderer, Zahir Jaffer was caught standing with his weapons over Noor’s dead body. This is not a murder case where the suspect or culprit is missing. There is no doubt whatsoever about who murdered his daughter as Zahir Jaffer was caught by the medical team when they arrived on scene. “Murder” and “attempted murder” both : Zahir also tried to shoot at the medical personnel but the bullet got lodged in the gun and did not fire. Mr. Mukadam says these actions by Zahir confirm that this case is a case of “murder” and “attempted murder”. Criminal minded, not insane: Mr. Shaukat clarifies that Zahir Jaffer is not insane, rather a criminal minded man. Zahir was clear-headed and aware of his brutal criminal actions. He is the brand director for his father’s company to which Noor’s father points out that an insane person can not be a director. Parents are accomplices too: Zahir Jaffer was also registered as a therapist at his mother’s clinic. If Zahir’s parents had been aware of his mental-health issues and still registered him as a therapist, then Mr. Shaukat says, Zahir’s parents are also accomplices in Noor’s murder. Noor loved not only humans, but also animals: As a father, Mr. Shaukat says his Noor was an innocent daughter who not only loved and was good to humans but also animals. He says, what was done to Noor has shook not only her family but the whole of Pakistan and even those who knew them outside of Pakistan. Served the Pakistani people well: As a former ambassador who has served Pakistani people all his life, Mr. Shaukat says Noor is a daughter of the nation. He requests the nation that Pakistanis must see Noor as they see their own mothers and sisters and stand with him in his fight for justice. As a father, he will go to all lengths to ensure justice: Noor’s father is confident that his daughter’s murder will be given justice, but in-case justice is not served, he will go to all lengths possible to create trouble for those who stood in the way of justice. Simple case, finding motive is not the priority: Mr. Shaukat points out that debating on the motive behind this crime is not the priority for now and will only create delays. The murderer, Zahir, was found on the crime scene leaving no doubt or confusion about what happened or who was responsible.
