The Assistant Minister of Tourism, Princess Haifa bint Mohammed said, “Saudi Arabia has no plans to legalize alcohol either at futuristic megacity Neom or in a bid to draw more visitors.” Details: While speaking at the World Economic Forum, the princess said, “Saudi Arabia has been doing well and has been attracting tourists regardless of the ban.” While replying to a question regarding the alcohol ban, she said, “The short answer is that we are going to continue with our current laws.” It is pertinent to mention that consumption, possession, or manufacturing of alcohol in the Saudi Kingdom is illegal and strictly prohibited.
