What happened: The Islamabad Traffic Police have announced to suspend the driving licenses of usual violators of traffic rules as they aim to ensure traffic discipline and a “road safety environment in the capital.” This move was announced by the senior superintendent of the Islamabad Police, Syed Mustafa Tanveer, as he said, “ITP has introduced a system for accountability of those involved in violation of traffic rules.” Details: Syed Mustafa Tanveer announced another initiative of reviewing digital challans: “ and license of those would be canceled involved in repeated violation of traffic laws.” At the same time, the SSP stated that each and every officer of the Islamabad will be held accountable, “and the offenders would be monitored on a regular basis and no tolerance would be accepted on violation of traffic rules.”
