NCOC approves anti Covid-19 booster shots for citizens above 18

Pakistan approves booster shots from December 1 over Omicron variant fears  | Arab News PK

What happened: On Jan 14, the National Command and Operation Centre announced that from Jan 15, citizens over the age of 18 will be eligible for a free anti-Covid booster dose of their choice. Current stats: Pakistan has recorded seven Covid-19-related deaths and 3,567 additional positive cases on Jan 13. According to NCOC statistics, 48,449 tests were performed, with a positive rate of 7.3%.  Anti Covi-19 plan: On Jan 11, Planning Minister Asad Umar, the head of NCOC, reaffirmed his plea for all provinces to adopt the non-pharmaceutical interventions. He further stated that those who still haven’t got vaccinated should do it as soon as possible, while those who haven’t obtained their second dose should get a booster shot.
