Former Prime Minister Muhammad Nawaz Sharif (MNS) stated that he would rather die with dignity that beg the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaaf government to provide him with medical facilities. During a family meeting at Kot Kakhpat Jail in Lahore on Wednesday, MNS complained that his health was being used as a political tool. He shared that 5 medical boards had examined him and recommended the authorities to provide him with medical care. But nothing has materialised so far. “The government has not provided any treatment or medical facility thus far. They are just trying to bother me by transferring to from one hospital to another,” stated MNS.
He said that neither has he begged the government or jail authorities for medical facilities nor will he make any such requests. “Whatever Allah wills will happen. I would prefer to die with dignity than live a life of disrespect.” On Wednesday morning, Maryam Nawaz tweeted that MNS had refused to go to the hospital for treatment and shared that her father was being ridiculed in the name of medical care.
Pakistan Muslim League – Nawaz leader, Shahbaz Sharif has announced that party leader and family members will not be allowed to meet MNS on Thursday due to his poor health.
