National Licensing Examination not acceptable to doctors – Grand Medicos Alliance (GDA) and Young Doctors Association

What happened: Grand Medicos Alliance (GDA) and Young Doctors Association have said at a press conference that doctors will launch a protest against the National Licensing Examination if the government does not cancel the exam.

“We have already suffered badly due to the Covid-19 pandemic. In case of fresh protest movement, the doctors and patients would suffer alike,” said Dr Rizwan.

Why: The doctors have raised concerns about qualified medical doctors made to sit additional exams which only waste their time and create more hurdles for them. The doctors demand that the federal government should focus on making policies to improve the quality of education and solve the issue of quacks. They also demanded that the policies should be made in consultation with the doctors. Click here for more from Propergaanda.
