Former Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif was transported to Services Hospital Monday night as officials were alerted about his failing health Many PML-N members had gathered outside the NAB office, demanding that Nawaz be shifted to a hospital; his brother, PML-N President Shahbaz Sharif also issued a statement to the government, saying “it is a callous attitude of the PTI government that despite his worsening health he is not shifted to the hospital”. PML-N spokesperson Marriyum Aurangzeb had also joined in, saying fresh medical reports were “very serious” and required immediate hospitalization.
When he was finally shifted to the hospital late last night, he received a complete medical check after which his platelet levels were increased. According to NAB, the decrease in platelets was a result of medicines provided by Nawaz’s personal physician that make blood thin. In a press release, NAB stated that a team of doctors had been provided to him around the clock, and Nawaz’s personal physician, Dr. Adnan Khan, had also spent three hours with the former PM on Monday. However, according to Hussain Nawaz and Capt. Safdar, Nawaz was poisoned, which resulted in his bad health. This claim was made before Capt. Safdar was arrested last night, according to sources.
