The Balochistan high court election tribunal has declared Deputy Speaker Qasim Khan Suri’s as void and ordered a re-election in the NA-265 (Quetta II) constituency.
The tribunal has not announced a date for the re-election, and as of yet, Suri still qualifies to contest for the re-election.

Nawabzada Lashkari Raisani had challenged the NA-265 result by filing a petition against supposed rigging in the constituency. It was testified that out of the total 114,000 votes cast during the polls in NA-265, “65,000 votes were invalid”. Raisani’s Party, the Balochistan National Party, acknowledged the verdict as a “victory of BNP as well as all democratic forces”. This is because Raisani was one of the candidates contesting for NA-265; Suri had had 25,979 votes while Raisani had received 20,394 votes, and official results had indicated that 3,422 votes in total had been rejected in the constituency.
