The notice: The notice states that all public and private institutes listed in the region of Punjab with a positivity rate of 5% or higher shall remain closed, with a list comprising 24 districts. Sialkot was the only major omission.
Reaction and Criticism: His tweet received a strong reaction, especially from students on how his government is handling this situation. Some criticized the recurrent ‘opening and closing’ of educational institutes without any framework, while others were infuriated at the fact how the government is not paying any attention to the fact that the countrywide positivity is on the rise and the new strains from India are imminent.
