Movie Review: ‘Yasir Husain did justice to the role despite weak supporting cast’

Pakistan was deprived of ‘Javed Iqbal: The Untold Story’ movie release due to censorship while foreign countries got the chance to watch the most awaited adaptation of ‘Kukri’ written by Abu Aleeha who also happens to be the director of the movie. Recently, one of the founding partners of Propergaanda, Shau watched ‘Javed Iqbal’ and he only had one thing to say, “Yassir Hussain was the main highlight of the film.” Shau says while the main lead did justice to the role, the supporting cast might’ve been better, “I feel Ayesha Omar’s work, along with the other actors, was at low par. Some parts were even a bit cringy.”

Shau continues to agree that Hussain was the driving force, “The story was good and the one thing I liked the most was that the dialogues were inspired by our original lingo, it didn’t look like a Bollywood ripoff.” He added that the movie was a bit slow as well but the audience is expecting more parts of the film. Keeping in mind the color grade, screenplay and editing, Shau overall rated the movie 3 stars.
