The Punjab Health Department reported that almost 200 cases of dengue have been registered in hospitals across the province during the last 24 hours, bringing the tally up to 3377 from the start of this year. According to information issued by the department, 2,608 patients — out of the total 3,377 — were discharged from hospitals after treatment. The health department reported that only six dengue patients across the province are in intensive care units , while the rest are out of danger. In the last day, 119 dengue patients have been discharged from hospitals across Punjab. Eight people have been reported to have died from January 1 to September 27.
Alongside this. the government is also pacing efforts to destroy larvae and prevent reproduction of the dengue mosquito. Therefore, the provincial government has checked 233,761 indoors and 70,647 outdoor spots and destroyed larvae at 1,707 points. They have also arrested people and issued warnings for violations of rules and regulations laid down to prevent dengue.
