Mohammed Salah wins Footballer of the Year award for the second time 

What happened: Liverpool’s star footballer Mohamed Salah has just won the prestigious Football Writers’ Association, Footballer of the Year award for a second time, as the 29-year-old got 48% more votes than Manchester City’s midfielder Kevin de Bruyne. On the other hand, Chelsea striker sam Kerr won the women’s Footballer of the Year award.  Details: The Football Writers’ Association chairman said,  “Mo has been outstanding this season, breaking records for both club and country. Mo is a leader and standard-bearer of excellence at his club and respective league.”  At the same time, Mo Salah is also en route to winning the Golden Boot in his league, as he is on 22 goals currently.
