Misconceptions about Islam need to be rectified, says SAPM Shahbaz Gill

What happened: The Special Assistant to Prime Minister on Political Affairs, Shahbaz Gill, claimed that the religious scholars will now oversee the syllabus being taught in Pakistan’s educational institutions. While discussing the current syllabus being taught in schools, he said,  “Syllabus of educational institutions need to be in line with the Islamic code of ethics and life.” Details:   Shabaz Gill was speaking at the convocation of Minhaj University; he also talked about the government’s recent initiative that was Rehmatulil Alimeen Authority. At the same time, he said that the current youth are going astray due to Western culture. He also urged,  “Our youth needs to be taught about Prophet PBUH’s life and how they led their life.”  Shahbaz Gill also hinted that  “The cartoons that our youth are watching will also be kept in line of Islam, by the religious scholars of Rehmatulil Alimeen Authority.”

Also: However, Shahbaz Gill said that the nation was ashamed of the Sialkot incident. He has also assured that justice will be provided for the victim of the Sialkot incident. The SAPM concluded his speech,  “How can we change the nation in 3 years that was ruined in the last 70 years?”
