Man posing as women on Tinder robs Rs.50,000 from a Gujarat man

What happened: The incident is reported from India’s Gujarat, where a man posed as a woman on the popular dating app and lured another man to rob him of 55,000 rupees. Indian publications reported,  “The accused first befriended the victim over text and then invited him over to an apartment on the pretense of having their first date.” 

Details: At the same time, the local police claimed that the 28-year-old victim was held at knifepoint before he was robbed of 55,000 rupees as InShorts.com quoted,  “When the victim reached the accused’s apartment, one of his accomplices, attacked the victim with sticks.”  However, Gujarat police have arrested four accused. It is pertinent to mention that the victim was forced to transfer 31,000 rupees from his Google Pay account before withdrawing 24,000 rupees from the bank. 

More: The four arrested have been identified as,  Sharfaraz, Arbaz, Irfan, and Ejaz.  Whereas, the police recovered 43,800 rupees from them and lodged a complaint against the 4. On the other hand, the victim is a resident of Junagadh and a trader by profession.
