What happened: Malala Yousafzai, the youngest Nobel Laureate, ‘virtually’ graduated from Oxford University last year. The 24-year-old has now officially become an Oxford graduate. Details: Malala attended the virtual graduation ceremony for class 2020 in June of last year. The activist was also a part of the viral YouTube original, Dear Class of 2020, in which Michelle Obama, Beyoncé, and other celebrities gathered to honor the graduating class. Malala Yousafzai’s 12-second video from the virtual ceremony was posted on YouTube. “Don’t be defined by what you lose in this crisis but by how you respond to it,” said Malala, “You have gained your education, now it’s time that you go out and use it for the betterment of the world. Congratulations to the class of 2020.” More: Malala shared her graduation pictures and tweeted, ‘Some Latin was said and apparently I have a degree.’
