LHC fines Rs.500,000 to a man for 2nd marriage without permission 

What happened:  The Lahore High Court has fined a resident of Mianwali 500,000 rupees for marrying for the second time without his first wife’s permission. Samaa News quoted the news as,  “Ghulam Hussain of Mianwali had remarried without the permission of his first wife, on which his first wife Asiya had filed a case in the local court.”  Details:  The trial court has also sentenced Ghulam Hussain to six months in prison and has imposed a fan of 500,000 rupees. However, later Ghulam Hussain approached Lahore High Court regarding the sentence, but  “Justice Alia Neelam rejected the plea of the accused and upheld the decision of the local court of Mianwali and upheld the sentence; of 6 months imprisonment and a fine of Rs.500,000.”
