Layers Within

I don’t know whats in those eyes
A blue ocean or the starry skies
Working the magic they always do
Could they be so beautiful, I never knew.

I don’t know whats in that head
An interconnected symphony of thoughts
or a chaotic pile of emotions
A mystery they all present
A mystery unknown to myself or even you
A mystery that the mind itches to vent.

I don’t know whats in that soul
A beautiful compelling heart
Or the abyss of a black hole.
The mystery surrounds us all
The mystery of this shadow
The mystery surrounds us all
The mystery of everything and nothing it shows.
