Lawyer’s wife and baby girl knifed to death by unidentified men in Lahore

What happened: On February 28, The News reported that unidentified men barged into a lawyer’s house in Lahore’s Chunhng area and killed the family. The development was quoted as,  “His wife and a baby daughter after repeatedly attacking the couple with a knife.”  The lawyer was identified as  “Advocate Amanat,”  and the preliminary reports suggested that Amanat’s daughter was strangulated to death.  Details: Subsequently, the SP Saddar reached the crime scene and collected evidence, and The News quoted it,  “They were of the view that the incident appeared to be the consequence of an old enmity.”  However, the local police arrested the brother-in-law of Amanat as a suspect in the case.  More: On the other hand, Amanat’s brother revealed that the incident is of personal enmity and  “He himself had been working as an inspector in the Motorway Police and demanded the arrest of the culprits.”  At the same time, the brother Salim disclosed that his father was also murdered in 2014 and demanded IG Police Punjab to take notice and arrest the culprits. Rao Sardar Ali Khan, the IGP Punjab, is quoted by The News as,  “provision of justice to the victim family be ensured at all costs.”
