Due to it’s scenic architecture, the Mughal-era mosque has been a popular location for nikkah’s, wedding ceremonies and wedding photography. However, according to the first-rate team of photographer Palwasha Minhas, the gatekeepers of the historic mosque have enforced a total ban on wedding photography in the mosque from December 19th onwards.
Sunday Times wrote on Instagram, “Badshahi Mosque has banned wedding photography. Current bookings are safe but no new bookings will be taken until further notice log on to sunday.com.pk for some beautiful alternatives.”
Although many locals are disappointed with this decision, others have expressed that this is the right choice given the historic significance of the area.
