What happened: A local publication shared data from the Punjab Emergency Service Department that dealt with more than a thousand accidents across Punjab on May 15. During the 1,115 accidents in Punjab, 11 casualties were reported and 1161 injuries were reported in these car accidents. Lahore alone had 272 road accidents, impacting more than 280 people, and Lahore remained on top of the list for most accidents in Punjab. Details: Faisalabad was second on the list with 98 accidents and 111 victims, followed by Multan with 79 and 83 victims. Altogether, 664 people were seriously injured and taken to hospitals, while rescue teams treated nearly 500 minor injured people at the scene. And it is pertinent to mention that in 1115 accidents, 69% of the accidents involved a motorcycle.
