Lahore police to wear body cameras at check posts for protection against misconduct

What happened: In a recent development, the Lahore Police have decided to use body cameras at the police check posts at the city’s entry and exit points. Dawn quotes the Senior Superintendent of Police, Capt Mustansir Feroze,  “This initiative will ensure law and order in the city and prevent the complaints of misconduct.”  Details: The body cameras would also record the conversations between citizens and between police officers, as it would help identify the criminals, as Lahore police aim to curb crimes by body-worn cameras. Whereas, Dawn quotes the development as,  “Senior police officers would monitor this initiative and issued on-the-spot instructions for the redressal of public grievances.”
