The officers of a Counter-Terrorism Department (CTD) police station thwarted an attack by an armed terrorist on the their Burki Road police station, in Lahore. This incident took place in the early hours of the morning, today, on the 24th of November.
A suicide vest, pistol and two hand grenades were found on the body of the terrorist. Given the destructive potential of his weaponry this terrorist could have caused major damage if the police officers were not able to neutralise him in time.
At present the terrorist’s identity has not been confirmed. Officials from the Punjab Forensic Science Agency (PFSA) have cordoned off the area surrounding the police station and are conducting a sweep.
