What happened : Qurat-ul-Ain Baloch, a mother of four children, was brutally murdered by her husband, Umer Khalid Memon, on Thursday in Hyderabad. The police refused to register a First Information Report (FIR) against the perpetrator since his family is very influential.
Details : The incident took place on July 15, Thursday. Qurat-ul-ain was reportedly tortured for hours until she fainted after being hit on the head by her husband. The perpetrator then strangled her to death. To destroy evidences, he changed her clothes and his own clothes. As per social media reports, he took her to the hospital at 6 am, where the doctors declared her dead.
The postmortem revealed that her body was covered in bruises and blood. Her nose was bleeding until the very end, her neck was swollen, and her jawbone was broken. The police arrested Khalid and he was taken to the Baldia Police Station. The police refused to register a First Information Report (FIR) against him since his family is very influential. Moreover, perpetrator’s brother owns the New York Cafe and Bakery in Hyderabad. Reports suggest that his family is trying to bribe their way out of this situation.
