Details: In their Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) match yesterday, Afghan mixed martial arts athlete, Javid Basharat (@javidldn) submitted Israeli competitor Oron Kahlon (@oron_kahlon), callng it even after Kahlon called Basharat a “terrorist” before the fight. What happened: At the Dana White’s Contender Series weigh-ins on Monday, Israeli bantamweight veteran, Oron Kahlon tried to escape the weigh-in by three pounds to which Javid responded that he’d still beat him up, Kahlon angered over this, called Javid ‘a terrorist.’ The athletes were separated by UFC matchmaker Sean Shelby and Basharat didn’t retaliate in the heat of the moment. On Monday, when the fight was about to begin, Basharat refused to shake Kahlon’s hand. The match: In the first round, Basharat brutally struck Kahlon with his elbows, and in the second, he seemed to relish having the upper hand. The Afghan fighter decided to submit his Israeli opponent with a guillotine choke four minutes into the third round. When Basharat defeated Kahlon, UFC president Dana White declared that “justice” had been served for the “terrorist” claim.
