In order to provide the residents of Islamabad with safe entertainment during this pandemic the Capital Development Authority (CDA) is planning on building an open air cinema in the federal capital.
CDA officials who are privy to the details of the project told the media of the CDAs plans on Wednesday.
The cinema will have parking for a 1,000 cars, and will be built to an international standard. The CDA will choose a location best suited to this purpose. And, CDA Chairman Aamer Ali Ahmed will personally oversee the project, officials said.
The officials stated that with the stringent restrictions of the second wave of the virus the government is only allowing outdoor gatherings in limited numbers thus an open air cinema where people can remain in their own cars will be the ideal way for people to safely get some entertainment.
