What happened: On February 6, AP reported that two brothers were arrested for decapitating the wife of one of the brothers as AP quotes, “After a gruesome video of the victim circulated online.” The two Iranian men were arrested in the southwestern city of Ahvaz and one of the Iranian police officers is quoted, “The defendants confessed to murder during the police investigation and were introduced to the judicial authority.”
Details: Furthermore, reports suggest that the motive behind the murder is yet to be known, but the Iranian police claimed, “Family problems as the likely motive; however, an investigation is still being conducted.” Whereas, another Iranian publication quoted the incident as, “One of the two brothers beheaded his wife in front of many people in a city square followed by parading the city with her head in his head.”
