Involvement of India’s underworld suspected in Johar Town Blast

What Happened : Sources disclosed the suspected involvement of India’s underworld in the bomb blast that happened in Johar Town Lahore last week. In a breakthrough in the investigations, it was revealed that the same underworld had earlier helped secure the release of Peter Paul David, the suspect of the blast, from a prison in a Middle Eastern country.

Backstory : In the further investigations being carried out in connection with the Johar Town blast, Peter Paul David shared that he was imprisoned in a Middle Eastern country when the Indian underworld secured his release from the prison. They said adding that seven other Pakistanis were also helped in securing their release through the same network.

“The underworld approached him and offered to play a role in his release,” sources stated.

Security officials have already started the search for these seven Pakistanis in order to uncover their connection with the criminal elements.

It is also important to note that that Punjab Chief Minister Usman Buzdar announced on Monday that all the involved terrorists have been arrested.

The chief minister, alongside the Punjab inspector general police revealed that a  “hostile intelligence agency” was involved in the explosion that killed three people and injured 22 others.

The capture of all the suspects is termed as  a “big success” by the Punjab government. CM Buzdar also reported that the Counter Terrorism Department (CTD) identified them within 16 hours and all suspects were arrested in the last four days after numerous raids around the country.

“It transpired that a hostile spy agency was behind the attack,” he disclosed, the financial help used to network the attack was also provided by them.
