Mohammad Arif, the absconding brother of Qandeel Baloch has been apprehended by the Multan police with the help of Interpol.
Qandeel Baloch, the outspoken social media sensation, was strangulated to death in July 2016. One of her brothers, Mohammad Waseem stated he had killed Qandeel because she “brought dishonour” to the Baloch name. Waseem also stated that he had “no guilt” over killing her and his brother Mohammad Arif had asked him to kill Qandeel.

Mohammad Arif was in Saudi Arabia at the time and told his brother to flee to the country after killing Baloch.
Mohammad Arif has been handed over to the Muzaffarabad police station in Multan; he had been declared an absconder in the murder case of his sister Qandeel Baloch. Arif has yet to be charged by a court for his alleged involvement in the case while Waseem serves out a life sentence in Multan’s Central Jail. Baloch’s third brother, Aslam Shaheem, who was also named in the case filed by Baloch’s parents was acquitted by a trial court on 27 September.
