“Insult to the Prophet is the violation of religious freedom and sacred feelings, says Vladimir Putin

What happened: On the 23rd of December, Russian President Vladimir Putin, in his annual news conference, stated that insulting the Prophet Muhammad PBUH is not the expression of artistic freedom. During his press briefing, Putin said,  “Insults to the Prophet are a violation of religious freedom and the violation of the sacred feelings of people who profess Islam.”  Details: At the same time, the Russian President criticized the websites that posted photos of Nazis and stated that such acts give rise to extremist reprisals. Mir Mohammad Ali Khan applauded the statement of the Russian President and tweeted,  “I have all new respect for this man from today onwards. Anyone who respects my Prophet SAWS I will respect him till my last breath.”
