Instagram hints at bringing NFTs to its platform

What happened: The head of social media platform Instagram has announced,  “Nothing to announce yet, but we are definitely actively exploring NFTs and how we can make them more accessible to a wider audience.”  In a bid to unlock the metaverse via NFTs, Adam Mosseri has hinted at bringing them on the platform.  Details: It is pertinent to mention that NFTs have amassed total sales of above twelve billion dollars. On the other hand, the head Adam Mosseri, stated that Instagram might allow its users to showcase their NFTs and allow the users to follow their favorite NFT artists. At the same time, one of the app developers in Instagram stated that Instagram users would also be allowed to make bids via Instagram and crypto wallets, including Facebook’s Novi wallet, will be supported by the social media platform. Also:   Adam Mosseri has also hinted at allowing its two billion users to get the NFT experience as he said,  “I think it’s an interesting place where we can play, and also a way to help creators hopefully.”
