What happened : A 19-year-old man was arrested for allegedly raping his mentally-challenged 14-year-old cousin in Rajasthan, India; the police revealed the information on Wednesday, reported a local publication. It is pertinent to mention that the incident took place in India’s Rajasthan state on June 5. Details: The Indian police, according to a publication, stated that the accused allegedly sexually assaulted his minor cousin while she was playing near her house. A publication has quoted, “The girl’s mother saw the accused committing the heinous act. However, the survivor’s family kept quiet for a couple of weeks due to social pressure, the police said.” Later, on June 21, the family lodged a case against the accused. Subsequently, the man was arrested within 18 hours of the First Information Report (FIR) registration.
