What happened: Indian military hampered a major threat as two drones were intercepted flying over a base in occupied Kashmir on Monday, right a day after an explosive-laden drone was used to attack the airbase in occupied Kashmir on Sunday. The airbase was also used as a civilian airport.

Background: The military spotted two drones fly over the Kaluchak military base present on the outskirts of Jammu city. A high alert was immediately set off and quick reaction teams were ordered to engage with open fires. The spokesperson added that the drones flew away after the response team opened fire and a search operation was launched in the area. The Indian officials stated that two drones who were carrying explosives were used to attack the airbase in Jammu on Sunday. As a result of two soldiers were injured and minor damage was caused to the building present in the airbase. However, no military equipment was damaged. No group so far has released a statement with regards to the attack on the airbase, however, it is assumed that the attack might have been carried out by anti-India freedom fighters. The incident if proven by freedom fighters would mark a major shift in strategy against New Dehli as primarily they have used guerilla tactics including car bombings and remote-controlled explosions.
