What happened: A techie husband’s laptop was washed by his wife with detergent before he filed a complaint at the Bengaluru police station. The Indian husband has alleged that his wife suffers from OCD and has an extreme hygiene routine. He has also claimed that the wife washes his phones with detergents. Details: The Indian couple married in 2009 before shifting to London and returning later before Covid started in India. RT Nagar Bengaluru’s police station received a complaint from the “distressed” husband stating his wife was an extreme hygiene freak and even took six baths in a day. The complaint also says the wife went for therapy too, but after the birth of their second baby, the OCD came back.
Also: A complaint at the local police station claims the cleanliness compulsion worsened during the Covid lockdown in 2020. Indian husband in the complaint stated, “During the Covid lockdown, she started cleaning his laptop and cellphone with detergent when she was working from home.” The interesting claim in the complaint was the wife also used to sanitize soaps after everyone had taken a bath. Currently, the Indian husband is planning to take divorce as he has registered a case at the local police station.
