In a bid to compete at the T20 World Cup, Saudi Arabia launches its Talent Hunt Program

What happened: Saudi Arabia’s cricket federation has its first-ever talent hunt program. In a bid to compete on the world stage the Kingdom has planned to start its own national cricket team. Reports suggest that the talent hunt program has been launched to encourage the Saudi youth. SACF (Saudi Arabia Cricket Federation) announced the talent hunt program on Twitter.

Details: Saudi’s cricket federation tweeted,  “We are delightful to launch our first ever talent hunt program.”  The program will be initiated from Dammam before moving on to the capital Riyadh. Saudi aims to compete at the T20 World Cup by identifying and polishing their youth. It is pertinent to know that the Cricket Federation has made its bid to promote the game of cricket in the Kingdom. The Kingdom has also demanded help from Pakistan to nurture Saudi youth regarding cricket.
