In an attempt to get in touch with his spiritual side and possibly get some sort of indication as to what was going to transpire in terms of his future in the capacity he is currently serving in Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Qamar Bajwa made a trip to Lahore’s Data Darbar, the go to place for spiritual guidance.
PM Imran Khan, no stranger to Sufi shrines and spirituality, met with General Bajwa at the launch of Pakistan’s first National Science and Technology Park at NUST where the former offered to provide his ‘tasbeeh guy’s’ contact details to the latter over WhatsApp.
“I never go anywhere without my tasbeeh and I think you should drop the cane and grab the beads for the foreseeable future. My guy exclusively makes these for very specific purposes. For example, some days I use the ‘career longevity’ ones, other days I use the ‘marriage survival’ ones” PM Khan appraised the COAS on his spiritual rituals.
Speaking to the media DG ISPR Asif Ghafoor confirmed that multiple orders had been placed with the PM’s ‘tasbeeh guy’, including a white pearl one with an attachable extension that makes the impact of each recitation all the more significant.
At press time, the PM, who handed over his ‘career longevity’ tasbeeh to COAS Bajwa for a trial run, could be seen getting uncomfortable in his seat as the latter was visibly enjoying the feeling unwilling to hand the ‘tasbeeh’ to Imran Khan.
