I tried desserts from Pink Pistachio, Lahore. Here’s my honest opinion

Being a dessertholic, I am always out and about to try different and unique dessert experiences in the city. Especially when it’s a fancy place, there is a different kind of anticipation. Pink Pistachio @pistachio.pink, in Lahore is a popular cafe and patisserie that first opened in DHA Phase 5 Commercial. The cafe gained immense popularity ever since, for its unique and exquisite menu, from several brunch options to a divine desserts menu. They recently opened a branch in DHA Raya, Fairways Commercial. The cafe is adjacent to the golf club, facing the lush greenery and landscape, with both outdoor and indoor seating. The first impression of the interior was great as it gave a classic yet fancy French patisserie vibe. The most striking thing was the pastries on display, as each one had a uniqueness to it. Without wasting any time, I ordered some desserts and coffee. The Kiwi Tart had a buttery shortcrust pastry filled with a silky custard, topped with fresh kiwi and glaze. However, the filling was a bit less (3.5/5). Next one was the Victoria Sponge which had a smooth layer of cream and strawberry jelly but the sponge itself was dry (2.75/5). The highlight of the evening was this Lotus Cheesecake that was decadent and had a rich biscoff flavor. The crust was also divine (4.5/5). Last was the Hazelnut Latte which was underwhelming since it was too sweet & did not have any nuanced flavors (2/5). Overall: 3.5/5
