“I never kidnapped her,” Zahir claims he is falsely implicated in Noor Mukadam case

What happened: On February 9, the prime accused Zahir Jaffer’s lawyer presented the answers for a questionnaire filed by Zahir in which he claimed that he was being falsely implicated in the case. Dawn reported the development as,  “The accused maintained that state machinery and media were used against him.”  According to Zahir Jaffer’s answers he also raised questions over the investigation of the case along with the collection of evidence. 

Details: Zahir Jaffer was represented by Usman Riaz and Shahryar Nawaz on February 9’s proceedings before the Additional Sessions Judge Ata Rabbani. Dawn quoted Zahir Jaffer’s replies,  “Our families knew about it (their relationship), and the deceased used to attend our family functions. Similarly, my family members and I also attended her family functions.”  At the same time, Zahir in his replies, alleged,  “She(Noor) had drugs.. and kept on insisting on a party. Noor Mukadam also called her friends to the party who came to my house.” 

More: The prime accused in the Noor Mukadam murder case, Zahir Jaffer, added in his replies,  “I left my house for the airport on July 19(murder took place on July 20) at night while Noor Mukadam kept on asking me to miss the flight. She wanted to travel to America with me. She had asked her friends for money to buy a ticket and coaxed the taxi driver to leave.”
