Here’s what you need to know about Jake Paul fighting Mike Tyson for $49 million

What happened: On January 17, the YouTuber-turned boxer and the boxing legend Mike Tyson entered a fight agreement for an exhibition match in Las Vegas, according to reports. The Sun reported that the negotiations are at an advanced stage, and the exhibition fight could generate nearly fifty million dollars. Details: The Sun also quoted a source close to the negotiations as,  “A verbal deal has been struck to get it on, but like all forms of sports business, now it’s all about the contracts and money split.”  The source is further quoted,  “Mike is looking for a certain figure to get into the ring with a profit share margin. Jake obviously has that on his mind but is keen to show the world that stepping into the ring with a man once called the baddest man on the planet, takes his career to the next level.”  More: On the other hand, Sport Bible reported that Mike Tyson had refuted the claims of a fight. Subsequently, Mike Tyson tweeted,  “This is new to me. I saw Jake in St. Barths and he never mentioned it.”  It is pertinent to mention that Mike Tyson retired from boxing in 2005 before coming out of his retirement and fighting Roy Jones Jr. in an exhibition fight in 2020; he had also hinted at returning to exhibition bouts. On the other hand, Jake Paul was the highest-paid athlete under the age of 25 in 2021.
