After the government dropped 11 whole ordinances in the lower house without following parliamentary procedures on November 7, the opposition filed a no-confidence motion against them and Qasim Suri. Asad Umer, a PTI leader, said the government does not want to make the speaker and deputy speaker role’s controversial, hence the decision. PML-N’s Khawaja Asif announced the decision to take back the no-confidence motion saying that the relevant committees would go through the bills before they are passed by the house.
