Gojra: 10-year-old burnt after muezzin throws acid at him in a local mosque

What happened : On Wednesday, a muezzin from a local mosques in Gojra called Masjid-e-Siddiqiya allegedly threw acid on a 10-year-old boy while the boy was sleeping after offering morning prayers. Details : According to report, the 10-year old boy, Mukkaramul Hassan, was staying in the local mosque located in the New Model Town area for religious studies with his maternal uncle. Sources suggested that Mukarrumul Hassan was sleeping in the mosque after offering Fajr prayers when the muezzin Abdul Rehman hurled acid on him. The accused managed to flee from the scene after the acid attack, however, the motive for the crime is still unknown.
