What happened:  Another Covid-19 variant has been surging in the country it has been noted as  a “fast-spreading variant BA.5 has been reported in Karachi, and now it is being locally transmitted.”  The health experts in Pakistan have warned that the surge in recent cases and Karachi’s positivity rate doubling in the last 24 hours is a sign that these new infections might turn into the pandemic’s sixth wave.  Details:  The medical experts in Pakistan, as quoted by TheNews, have said,  “experts have urged the people to wear face masks and maintain social distancing to prevent themselves from the deadly virus.”  What’s the new virus:  The citizens of Pakistan who have contracted the new Covid-19 variant have reported mild symptoms, but the doctors claim  that “the situation could turn out of control if the people do not take preventive measures.”
