The student visa application process is not a smooth one. It is getting increasingly difficult as a Pakistani student to get a student visa approved, especially on time. While this has always been the case, apparently getting a visa to study in Germany is proving to be EVEN more of a hassle. This #studentVISAappointmentProcess seems exceptionally flawed, and Pakistani students are NOT happy about it.
It’s not even like the visas are getting straight-up denied. In some cases, students don’t get the opportunity to find out, because just getting an appointment is so difficult. Because the appointment generation process takes so long, (some students have been waiting for up to six months) they have resorted to other means, such as lying about the type of student visa they’re applying for:
Apparently the Islamabad Visa Embassy is only taking 44 appointments per month, and even students from Afghanistan are being dealt with here. In a video posted online, a student is addressing Prime Minister Imran Khan and requesting for his help with this matter. With admission letters in their hands, where do they go from here?
Use the German Embassy in Karachi, hire more visa officers, take more appointments per day. Students have just one request: SPEED UP THE PROCESS! These are people’s lives that these visa offices are dealing with. Act like it.
