Khanewal: A school watchman was arrested for sexually assaulting a female ninth grader
What happened: According to authorities, a school watchman in Punjab’s Khanewal area was arrested on Wednesday for allegedly sexually assaulting a ninth-grade girl. Details: Ramzan, the victim’s father and a Hafiz-e-Qur’an, informed police that he was five minutes late picking up his daughter from school and was told by the defendant, Ayub, that she had already left for home. Ramzan stated that his daughter didn’t return when he came home. He immediately went to her school, claiming that he witnessed the watchman sexually assaulting his daughter, but that the accused managed to run when he noticed him. Details: A memorandum of understanding (MoU) has been signed by Railway Constructions Pakistan Limited (RAILCOP), M/s Al Furqan Holdings Private Ltd, and BIL Pakistan Pvt Ltd to carry out the project. Saeed underlined Minister for Railways Azam Khan Swati’s aim, which is to turn Pakistan Railways into a profit-generating business through PPPs.
