Jinram wrote, “If the girl in question is a minor & she has been subjected to Child Marriage then this may potentially also be a case of strict liability rape (if a girl under 16).” There were a lot of uncertainties around the law, but Jibran categorically defined it in the thread, as Dua Zehra’s case was in discussion. Also: At the same time, the lawyer also highlighted, “If the girl is a minor from Sindh, then her marriage is an offense of Child Marriage.
