Federal government plans to honour ‘Frontline Workers’ with civil awards for their services

What happened: On March 2, ARY News reported that the federal government has hinted at honouring the frontline workers with civil awards for their services during the Covid-19 pandemic. ARY News quotes,  “The health workers will be honoured with civil awards on March 23 to recognize their services during the Covid-19 pandemic.”  Details: It is pertinent to mention that doctors during the coronavirus pandemic had played a vital role in treating patients amid the rise in the virus. ARY News further quotes,  “The federal government will invite nominations from provinces and finalize names for civil awards.”  At the same time, the nominations for civil awards will be taken from all the provinces.  More: The nominated health care workers will receive their awards on March 23 after the approval of President Arif Alvi.
