International experts believe that the 200 million Indian muslims living under the Modi regime are facing the threat of genocide.
Dr Gregory Stanton, the founder and president of Genocide Watch, said: “Preparation for genocide is definitely under way in India”.
Dr. Stanton and other experts on genocidal violence voiced their concerns at a panel discussion, organised in Washington by the Indian American Muslim Council titled “Ten Stages of Genocide and India’s Muslims”. Dr Stanton warned that the persecution of Kashmiri muslims and those living in Assam is precursor to their massacre. He stated that the demolition of Babri Masjid, the subsequent temple construction and the recent arrests of hundreds of muslims by the Delhi police are linked together. “The next stage is extermination — that’s what we call genocide.”, he said.
Pakistan’s Foreign Minister, Shah Mehmood Qureshi said that both the information coming out of the panel discussion and Dr. Stanton’s statement are an “endorsement of Pakistan’s stance and viewpoint”.
The Foreign Minister stated that Pakistan has previously expressed its concerns regarding the treatment of Indian Muslims at multiple different international forums. He also said, “the situation is further deteriorating” in Indian-occupied Kashmir.
