The graph on the ministry’s website shows that for almost a week Sindh has conducted most tests- around 3,000 tests daily. Compared to that, about 2,000 tests are being carried out daily in Punjab, even though the province’s population is almost 50 per cent of the country’s entire population. Similarly, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa has been conducting around 1,000 tests per day and 300 to 400 tests are being carried out in Balochistan and the federal capital, respectively.
Pakistan has relatively a low of number of cases compared to other countries in Asia. However, that is more due to the fact that Pakistan is conducting less coronavirus tests. Until and unless Pakistan starts mass conducting there is no way to tell if Pakistan is in the safe zone and has been able to bend the curve or has Pakistan yet to see it’s peak in coronavirus cases.
